Cookie Policy

In short

This site is built to be light and privacy-respecting. We use the cookies needed to run the site securely and, only if you accept them, Google Analytics cookies to understand how the site is used in aggregate. You can change your choice at any time.

Cookies are small text files a website can store on your device. This policy explains which we use and why.

The cookies we use

  • Essential cookies: needed for the site to work and stay secure. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies, set only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. They help us understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it. They do not identify you personally.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity, a service from Microsoft, to understand how visitors use this site so we can improve it. Clarity records how pages are used, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and shows this to us as heatmaps and recordings of individual visits.

We run Clarity without cookies: it does not set cookies on your device, and separate visits are not linked together. The data it collects is processed by Microsoft. Microsoft explains how it handles data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a service from Google, to count visits and see which pages are used, in aggregate, so we can improve the site. When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, kept for up to two years) so separate visits can be counted together. If you reject, or do not choose, it sets no cookies. We do not use it for advertising. It collects limited information such as the page viewed, the type of device and your approximate location. The data is processed by Google. Google explains how it handles data in the Google Privacy Policy.

Controlling cookies

We remember your choice on your device (in your browser's local storage, under cookie_consent). You can change it at any time: .

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies and delete existing cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies entirely, though some parts of sites may then not work as intended. Guidance for common browsers is available at aboutcookies.org.

More information

How we handle personal data more broadly is set out in our Privacy Policy. For any question, email [email protected].
